September – Fitness Challenge Month
In September, our company embarked on an invigorating fitness challenge in order to prioritize well-being within our company. There was a marathon run, plank and wall sit challenges, paintball, kayaking, and many more. Wanna know how it was? Read more.
Picture this: September – a month of Fitness Challenges at BackstageIT. We wanted to make sure that everyone had the opportunity to participate and have fun. We planned a variety of activities for all fitness levels, from beginners to experienced athletes, and here’s how it went:
1. Healthy Breakfast Kickoff
We started the month off with not only a healthy but also delicious breakfast spread. Instead of our traditional croissants and muffins for breakfast, we had some healthier alternatives. Gluten and lactose-free options, chia puddings, and yogurts – the perfect way to nourish our bodies and prepare for the challenges ahead.
2. Plank Challenge
The Plank Challenge was a great way to test our core strength and endurance. We had participants of all levels join in, from those who were new to planks to those who could hold a plank for several minutes. It was amazing to see everyone pushing themselves to their limits. Congratulations to our top 3 winners:

3. Programmers’ Day Outdoor Adventure
On September 16, we celebrated Programmers’ Day. What a day it turned out to be! It was an active and fun day that brought our team closer.
We kicked the day by splitting into two groups: One group enjoyed a peaceful kayak trip down a scenic river, while the other group had an adrenaline-pumping paintball showdown. Later, we gathered at a cozy summer cabana where we had a tasty barbecue, shared laughter, and chatted with
our colleagues. In the evening, we played fun games, strengthening our bonds even further.
This day reminded us of the importance of taking a break, building strong relationships, and having fun together.
4. Chișinău Big Hearts Marathon 2023
We’re so proud of our BackstageIT warriors who participated in the Big Hearts Marathon this year. They poured their hearts and souls into it, conquering distances of 5, 10, 21, and even 42 kilometers with success!
It was an emotional day at the marathon as our colleagues cheered and supported each other through the tough moments. We were all so inspired by their determination and resilience.
We’re especially pleased with those who participated in the marathon for the first time. They showed incredible courage and self-belief, and they should be incredibly proud of themselves.
5. Wall Sit Challenge
The Wall Sit Challenge was the perfect way to end Fitness Month. It was a test of strength, endurance, and determination, and everyone gave it their all. Congratulations to our top 3 champions:

Here are some additional thoughts on the benefits of Fitness Month:

- It made us more productive and creative at work.
Fitness Challenge Month might be over, but our commitment to wellness continues. We’re already looking forward to next year’s challenges and opportunities!
