November – Volunteer Month

As the end of the year approaches, there’s nothing we want more than to give back to those in need, so when the idea of organizing a Volunteer Month came, we accepted it immediately. Check out what we organized during the month of November in order to promote good deeds and proactivity.

As the end of the year approaches, many companies are looking for ways to give back to the community. Our company was no exception. We decided to organize a Volunteer Month in November, and we focused on helping two groups of those in need who are often overlooked: the elderly and the animals in shelters.

Helping the elderly

The first half of the month was dedicated to helping the elderly. We collected food donations from employees throughout the company. On November 19th, a group of volunteers brought the donations to a local sorting center. They sorted all of the shelf-stable food, as well as some fruits and vegetables, into “Vitamin Boxes.” These boxes were then delivered to more than 50 elderly individuals who were less fortunate. The smiles and gratitude on their faces were all the motivation we needed to keep going.

Helping animal shelters

The second part of the month was dedicated to helping animal shelters. We collected donations of wet and dry food, wheat porridge, and bones for the doggies. On November 26th, a group of HEROES drove to a local animal shelter to deliver the donations.

Why heroes you might ask? Because that day we had the first snow, and the way to and from the shelter was an entire adventure. It was snowy, it was cold, it was wet, but it didn’t stop our volunteers. They knew that the animals at the shelter were feeling the cold just as much as they were.

Promoting helping others in the office

In addition to our community outreach efforts, we also held an activity in the office to encourage employees to help each other.

Everyone had a ticket. Once an employee had their ticket stamped three times, each one being a completed act of kindness, they could exchange it for a small gift.

We understand that good deeds should be done without expecting anything in return, but we also know that sometimes people need a little push to get out of their comfort zones.

A month of giving back

We are proud of what we were able to accomplish during our Volunteer Month. We were able to help those in need, and also encourage our employees to be more helpful and supportive of each other.

Thank You!

We would like to thank our employees for their big hearts and dedication during our Volunteer Month. We are also grateful to the organizations we partnered with for their willingness to guide us.

We hope that our story will inspire other companies to get involved in their communities. There are many ways to give back, and even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference.
