The best part of an extended team? You get two teams

It’s 9:00 in Chișinău.

You arrive at the BackstageIT office, grab a coffee and open your laptop. A few minutes later, your daily starts with colleagues in the Netherlands.

You discuss yesterday’s release, someone challenges your solution, you agree on what’s next.

Then the call ends.

You look around, and the people sitting next to you are building completely different products for completely different companies.

So, who is actually your team?

The answer is: both.

When “the client” becomes your colleague

Work with the same people every day and eventually you stop thinking of them as the client.

You build together, disagree, solve problems, survive difficult releases and celebrate the good ones.

Then comes your first client trip.

You arrive in the Netherlands to meet people you have technically never met before, except you already know who talks the most in meetings, who questions every solution and whose kitchen you have seen hundreds of times on Google Meet.

It doesn’t really feel like meeting strangers.

That’s the point of an Extended Team: you are not sitting in Moldova waiting for tasks from abroad. You are part of the team building the product.

But your professional world shouldn’t end there

Imagine you are trying a new AI workflow and getting nowhere. You mention it over lunch. Someone from another BackstageIT team says: “We tried that. Come, I will show you what worked for us.”

Or you’re preparing for your first week with the client in the Netherlands. Someone sitting two desks away has done it five times. This is where having BackstageIT around you matters.

Our developers work across AI, e-commerce, SaaS, data and many other products. Different problems, different technologies, different experiences, all in the same office.

Sometimes knowledge sharing happens during an L&D session or AI Discovery Friday.

Sometimes it happens because you turn your chair and ask: “Have you ever dealt with this?”

That’s where BackstageIT comes in

Our job isn’t to manage your code. Your client team knows its product better than we do.

Our job is to make everything around that collaboration work.

We find the right people, take care of the local setup, support developers and clients, create opportunities to learn from other teams and help turn a group of people in two countries into something that can last.

And yes, sometimes that means bringing everyone together for Developer’s Day, or Barbecue Party, or Discover Moldova project. Sometimes it means helping arrange that first trip to Amsterdam. And sometimes it simply means making sure there are people around when you need them.

So, where do you belong?

Your client team might be in the Netherlands. Your desk might be in Moldova. One gives you a product to become part of. The other gives you a professional home around it.

At BackstageIT, you don’t have to choose.
