What we are looking for
Responsibilities:
- Design and calculate steel structures, including load-bearing structures, mezzanines, stairs, and platforms.
- Perform structural calculations and assess safety, stability, and technical feasibility.
- Ensure compliance with Eurocodes and relevant standards and regulations.
- Review calculations and designs prepared by colleagues or external engineers.
- Provide technical input for working and production drawings.
- Identify technical challenges and propose practical solutions and optimizations.
- Prepare structural calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, production, suppliers, and external partners.
- Participate in project, design, and construction meetings when required.
- Stay up to date with developments in structural engineering and steel construction.
This is you:
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering or a similar role.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience with steel structures and structural calculations.
- Knowledge of Eurocodes and relevant steel construction standards.
- Experience with SCIA Engineer, IDEA, Tekla, or similar software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders.
- Good English; German is a plus.
